Debra Murphy

Debra R. Murphy, founder and president of Vista Consulting LLC, brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to business owners to help them attract and retain new customers. After spending many years in high technology marketing, Debra started Vista Consulting to provide marketing services to businesses that need high quality, professional expertise at affordable costs. To eliminate the complexity usually associated with the marketing planning process, Debra created the VistaPlan Framework™. This framework has evolved into a new venture called Masterful Marketing™, an 8 step marketing system that caters to the business owner that needs help marketing their professional service business.

Debra is a recognized marketing expert, speaker, and author. She is the author of the forthcoming book "Demystifying the Marketing Puzzle" and recently co-authored a bestselling book “Create The Business Breakthrough You Want: Secrets and Strategies from the World's Greatest Mentors” with business giants Brian Tracy, Robert G. Allen, Bob Proctor and Mark Victor Hansen (Chicken Soup for The Soul) and endorsed by Dr. Stephen Covey and Ken Blanchard.

Debra speaks professionally about all areas of marketing and branding for small businesses. She is available to speak at your conference, seminar, or event where she can offer knowledge for the benefit of your company or organization.

Prior to starting Vista Consulting, Debra spent over five years with Percussion Software in various marketing roles. Debra developed and implemented Percussion's Alliance Program and was instrumental in building the Percussion corporate image. Prior to joining Percussion, she worked at Banyan Systems managing their electronic messaging product line. She began her career at Digital Equipment Corporation where she held various positions in marketing and product management.

Debra holds a bachelor’s in computer science and mathematics from Framingham State College and an MBA from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Debra is a member of Business Network International (BNI) and the Marlborough Regional Chamber of Commerce where she serves on their Board of Directors. She also serves on the board of directors of Marlborough Country Club.

Personal

Debra is an avid golfer and belongs to the Worcester County Women's Golf Association (WCWGA) and the Women's Golf Association of Massachusetts (WGAM). Other interests include Thai kickboxxing, racquetball, sampling good wines and gardening.
